INTERACTIONS IN THE ENVIRONMENT
BIG IDEAS: (taken from the Ontario Curriculum Document):
1) Ecosystems are made up of biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) elements, which depend on each other to survive.
2) Ecosystems are in a constant state of change. The changes may be caused by nature or by human intervention.
3) Human activities have the potential to alter the environment. Humans must be aware of these impacts and try to control them.
STUDENT LEARNING GOALS:
GOAL #1: I can identify abiotic and biotic factors within an ecosystem and describe interactions between them.

Summative activity: The use of technologies such as cars and computers has many impacts on the environment. Choose a technology discuss how it affects the ability of the environment to support life? You may present your information to me in any way you choose, but remember; I need to watch 30 of these so be creative and keep it short.
